Here’s a list of 15 shortcuts in Microsoft Word that might be useful when formatting text and improve productivity .
1. CAPS
To make the selected word / sentence to caps from small letter , use the following shortcut
CTRL + SHIFT + A
2. GROW FONT SIZE
To increase the font size press CTRL + SHIFT + .
3. SHRINK FONT
To decrese the font size press CTRL + SHIFT + ,
4. BOLD
To make the sentence or the word look bold , press CTRL+B or CTRL+SHIFT+B
5. LIST BULLET
To apply bullet styled list , select the sentence and press CTRL+SHIFT+L
6. APPLY HEADING FORMAT
To apply , the heading format to the selected text use the ALT + CTRL + < Number >
For example , to apply Heading 1 , use the key ALT + CTRL + 1
similarly m to apply Heading 2 , use the key ALT + CTRL + 2.
7. COPY FORMAT
To copy the format of the text , use CTRL + SHIFT + C
8. PASTE FORMAT
To paste the format , use CTRL + SHIFT + V
9. DOUBLE UNDERLINE
To double underline a word , select the word and press CTRL+SHIFT+D
10. UNDERLINE
To underline a word , select the word and press CTRL+U or CTRL+SHIFT+U. Incase you have the cursor on any of the character , but you want to underline the entire word , you can use the key CTRL+SHIFT+W
11. FONT
To select the font use CTRL + D and to change the font size use CTRL + SHIFT + P
12. Indent
To apply indentation , use the keys CTRL + M
13. NORMAL STYLE
To apply the normal style instead of any other like heading etc , use CTRL+SHIFT+N .
14. ITALICS
To make the selected text italic , press CTRL+I or CTRL+SHIFT+I
15. FOOTER NOTE
To add a footer note , use the key ALT+CTRL+F
